More Roses

Over the last few days, more of the roses have bloomed.  Double Delight, Dr. Huey, Fisherman's Friend, Lagerfeld, Pat Austin, and Peace have all produced delightful blossoms.  The roses that had already bloomed have continued to produce more blossoms, with Louise Odier and Zephirine Drouhin totally covered in wonderful, fragrant flowers.  You can always find the latest and greatest by going to the What's New page of the web site .  In the only sad rose news, I was wrong previously when I said that there were no casualties this winter.  Abraham Darby apparently kicked the bucket over the winter.  My fault, no doubt, for planting it where it was overshadowed by the other roses.  I will leave that spot empty in the future.  In other garden news. the Peony has burst into bloom literally overnight, producing its massive flowers with their incredible fragrance.  Between Louise Odier and Zephirine Drouhin with their hundreds of blossoms and the Peony in between them, the garden is thoroughly suffused with fragrance.  Here are a few of the beautiful blooms from the last few days, first Gertrude Jekyll then Double Delight.
