It's an interesting day in the garden, even though, with the temperature up in the 90's it was only a brief visit before I returned to the comfort of the air conditioned indoors. Tropicana has bloomed, the last of the previously planted roses to do so. It may be that it doesn't like its location, facing dead north. Today also marked the first blooming of the newly planted Peace tree, hence the title of this entry. It's nice to have Peace back again! Other roses giving us nice blooms today are Fragrant Lace, Melody Parfumee, and Sweet Juliet. On the non-rose front, the daylily Double Cutie is into its cycle of opening one or two beautiful new blooms each day. The oriental lily Mona Lisa opened its first blossom as well, every bit as gorgeous and sweetly fragrant as I remembered it.
