The Garden Smells Wonderful!

Yesterday, the landscaper came after the rains had subsided and put down yard after yard of well-shredded cedar bark mulch in all of the perimeter beds and rose gardens.  The fresh scent is wonderful!  And, the fresh mulch sets off the regrowing Forsythia and Mock Orange very well indeed.  I've posted a few photos which show just how quickly these shrubs grow back when you prune them to the ground.  The few roses in bloom today include Lagerfeld, the Mini Roses, Red Ribbons, and Winchester Cathedral.  Given how heavy the rains were yesterday, even though it's very hot and humid outside I think that I'll dust again, just to be on the safe side.
