I went for a stroll through the garden this fine Sunday morning and found that my roses had a few surprises for me. Louise Odier, Pat Austin, and Sunbright each had two beautiful blossoms waiting for me and Melody Parfumee had one. Needless to say, I got the camera and started shooting. The one below is Louise Odier. It rained last night, so the lovely fragrance of the roses was counterbalanced by the fresh fragrance of the wet cedar bark mulch, making the garden a very fragrant place to be this morning. In the front yard garden, the Abelia is still in full bloom, spreading its honey-like perfume far and wide and bringing in the tiger swallowtail butterflies from all over the neighborhood.
