| Madame Isaac Pereire |
Mme. Isaac Pereire is my third Old Garden Rose, coming after Zephirine Drouhin and Louise Odier. She was bred in France in 1881 by Garçon. In the Spring of 2007, she went into the spot in the side yard rose garden that was formerly occupied by Showbiz, the great disappointment of the last few years. Hopefully, Mme. Isaac Pereire will follow in the footsteps of the other Old Garden Roses. flourish, and bring me many years of pleasure. Here she is, just after planting.

It's now the third week of May 2007 and Mme. Isaac Pereire has leafed out nicely.

Memorial Day, 2008 find Mme. Isaac Pereire getting ready to open her first bud, and a big fat one it is!

And here we are. It's 1 June and Mme. Isaac Pereire has opened her very first blossoms. They are exquisitely fragrant with the classic old rose fragrance, exactly as advertised. My third success (out of three tries, I'm so far batting a thousand) with the Old Garden Roses.

Did I mention that Mme. Isaac Pereire seems to be quite floriferous? It is!!

In mid-July, Mme. Isaac Pereire has opened more blossoms.

Madame Isaac Pereire has started off very nicely during mid-May, 2009.

The second week of August ....
