Leebea Orange Crush |
During the Fourth of July weekend, 2003, I decided to do a little planting to fill in some areas where earlier planted bulbs had died off. Since I didn't have any Hemerocallis (Daylilies), I decided to plant some so I went to the nursery and got three beauties. One is an All American winner, this one from 2002, called Leebea Orange Crush. The source of the name is obvious!
It's early June 2004 and Leebea Orange Crush is now in bloom.

It's the middle of June 2008 and, judging by the number of scapes and buds, Leebea Orange Crush is preparing to put on a dazzling show!
I was right! Just one day later and the show begins!
It's getting to the point where I'm going to have to start thinking about dividing Leebea Orange Crush!
In late June to early July 2009, Leebea Orange Crush began to bloom and I got a few photos. One evening however, something visited the garden and ate all of the remaining buds, as well as those on the other lilies and daylilies! I am not at all happy!
Mid-June 2010 has brought with it the bloom of Leebea Orange Crush.
Looking at how spectacular Leebea Orange Crush is this year, given how its grown I think it may be time to divide it!
