Niagara Falls |
At the end of June 2007, I took a small vacation and drove up to Niagara Falls. The views were spectacular and worth the long drive. Here are some photos which speak for themselves. They were taken from the American side. The falls in the background are Horseshoe Falls on the Canadian side. A video follows at the bottom of the page.
That's the Maid of the Mists boat which takes visitors to get drenched by the
Falls.
I also shot a short video of the Falls. Here it is in your choice of Real Media, Windows Media, and MPEG-4 formats. For dial-up visitors, for whom those three files would be rather large, it's also available on YouTube, below. (The video was originally shot with the DVcam still set to shoot model trains under halogen lights, so it had a very bad blue cast. In January 2008 I got a new tool that enabled me to reprocess the video and greatly reduce the blue cast. The three files here have been reprocessed and look a lot better than they used to. YouTube being YouTube, no way exists to substitute the new version for the old, so it remains blue-shifted.)
